Synopsis: Owen, a 12 year old boy abused by his classmates and dreams of revenge power, Abby soon meets a girl (apparently) the same age with the onset of friendship ... Not knowing that she is a vampire.
Initial Impression: Wonderful as wonderful as the original film
Script and Development: I knew when I finally could see me this movie my review would prove to be a long compared to Let The Right One In so let's begin.
Despite the statement made by Reeves, his screenplay was not a remake of the film but another adaptation of the novel, the SI is a remake of the film, and a very faithful in that respect almost all development but adapting well the eighties Americans (the film is set in New Mexico, 1983) but the really interesting is that not an adaptation "takes by making ", nor a version of" dumbed for gringos to understand "because in reality there is nothing wrong here, nothing to do an angry scream," That was not so in the original! "because the changes are real improvements on this.
For example, in Let The Right One In I did not like at all the sub-plot of the adults who were victims of Eli, while here it takes away ownership and their stories are much better connected with Owen, which makes development much more fluid. Remember the guardian of Eli and Oskar as teorizábamos that was going to happen as well? initial impression: Meh Elisha Dushku ... at least this good.
Script and Development: Se7en is a horror movie? Zodiac it is? it is Silence of The Lambs ? The ghosts look ... generic (if they really are ghosts) and the only detail worth mentioning is the color shift that occurs when Megan has their psychotic relapse.
Actions: This film is Eliza Dushku, This beautiful woman is in virtually every scene, and acts to fuck them. Looks good, then desperate, frightened, then totally uncontrollable and totally believable in each of these aspects.
The other characters are virtually extended cameos.
Reflections: There is a scene in which, for half a second, you see a tit for Eliza Dushku. Just so worth watching this movie? I would say YES! but the truth easier to find that scene online.

Synopsis: An exorcist willing to reveal that his profession is a fraud allows a group of documentary recording his last exorcism, without knowing that it was facing a terrible and real.
Initial Impression: intriguing and very entertaining, but with a twist in the plot that left me somewhat puzzled.
Script and Development: Ah! my good friend, the cinema-veritas I am glad to see that you have become fashionable. If this little film works so well is because his characters, on one hand we have the Reverend Marcus Cotton, a very intelligent and incredibly charismatic, he feels very real because of its defects and details in his personality. Is a character that gives pleasure to follow and which is easy to love or hate. On the other hand we have to Nell, the girl is "owned", which is terribly cute and really feel sorry for her and the things that happen. Since
Cotton and the documentary team reach Nell's house we began to plant a doubt ... this Nell really possessed? Our hero is very acceptable theories to justify things that happen around her, but on the other hand, there are rare situations that make us really think a lot (once I tell you, that poster in which she is climbing up the wall, that does not happen, so it does not get your hopes up) until we came to an end with a twist in the plot that we change the rules totazo. Although I leave something unsatisfied about the line that led the movie if I liked it a little. I'll let you look at them and make their own ideas.
The film does not really scared even though its form and history seemed to point to it (scary but the poster), but it is an interesting development that has its moments of anguish.
management and technical aspects: Like The Blair Witch Project , we see virtually nothing supernatural, there is almost no violence, but the film has lots of energy to compensate for this, we must see the scene of exorcism in which Cotton explains how did each of the "tricks." Priceless. Incidentally, that scene also has a very interesting issue, which cuts the moments of tension and suffering of the girl with the explanations of Cotton, changing the horror for laughs in a very abrupt, but effective.
Actions: Patrick Fabian pike as the main character ... is like the stereotypical used car salesman who can sell you a junk anyone at the point of glibness, Ashley Bell and tools that Nell is Oscar material.
Reflections: dioxide do not think so I do not believe in the devil, so I find it very entertaining to see a reverend who thinks the same way justifying his actions, on the other hand I hate to see imprison those extremists to stay away (and their children) from the temptations of the world ... even taking into account the shift in the plot ...

Synopsis: In the nineteenth century, a couple of false spiritualism uses sessions to raise money to care for orphans, which attracts curses that still remain.
Initial Impression: As an adaptation of the Lovecraft universe is half.
Script and Development: The film begins in the present (well, 2008), with a woman who comes to inventory a mysterious mansion abandoned for over a hundred years ... something bad happens, and 20 minutes, finally the real movie begins, a story about a couple in the nineteenth century ... which is not really nothing happens for about 40 minutes until you see nothing more and nothing less than Aleister Crowley to put a bit of supernatural elements to it in its last third.
And what happened to all that happened in 2008? Ah yes! The film ends with a trailer of his own sequel, due out this year, and attention to those images, because we see the monster they faced in this sequel, and is something we've always wanted to see.
However, the film seemed to me entirely satisfactory. For starters, a long parade to be inspired by the world of HP Lovecraft, but the stories the author certainly go far more than seen here, whose greatest exponent the universe is a simple eater which we see in shadows at the beginning and just see it in the final minutes. The dialogue is too exaggerated, all conversations in Crowley involved are overly elaborate, but worthy of a role playing game with Vamp-losers pseudo-satanic pretensions of poets (my friends will understand me), the few scares that there are too generic and there are "special appearances" of historical figures who honestly made me wonder if the film was taking itself seriously or not.
In any case it is entertaining, but lacks enough pace to be more a drama about a couple that a supernatural tale ... cutting off about 20 minutes of unnecessary dialogs have been much better.
management and technical aspects: If anything highlights this film is carefully prepared in its production. Scenarios, makeup and special effects are perfect. Even his intro, accompanied by great music is quite memorable.
Actions: are acceptable ... I think. The man who plays Crowley is a special case, with dialogue so overreacted and exaggerated (and that note has fun with the role) that is even fun.
Paul Naschy special mention in the last film in which I participate before he died.
Insight: Did you Aleister Crowley tops my list of "Famous People that I should kill when you have a time machine? As I hate Marilyn Manson was the nineteenth century.

Initial Impression: Meh. Actually, since I knew that the "original idea" was M Night Syamalamamadingdong no longer had much interest in this film.
Script and Development: many movies lately are coming from "people trapped in ..." and generally that's good, so are the cool and Frozen Buried ... but it is hard to do and they have to fill half hour alone with dialogues between the characters and situations of tension trapped well distributed over the footage ... and Devil not work in either of the two sections. First, because none of the characters caught the elevator is remotely interesting, we know very little about his past and when we do it is to realize that they were unhappy ... and stressful situations ... only occur when the power goes out, and since this is PG-13, no actually see what happens. certainly would not have been better if they had not revealed that all was something supernatural? that this had been a shift in the plot? and the movie would have been more intriguing.
- The Good: The credits start.
- Bad: PG-13 really hurt this film. There are cuts each time something interesting will happen.
- Ugly: The character of the Latin Catholic ... Diox! that character so ridiculous!
